Muscle Contractions Linked to Thought & Emotion

The most surprising and powerful thing I have learned through my study of the body is the amazing link between thought/emotion and muscle contraction or the body’s reaction in general.

Think about this: muscle contraction, and thought/emotion are synonymous with each other.  They happen simultaneously as a result of neurons firing in the body. Research has shown that when you bring the face into the shape of a smile, the neuro-chemicals associated with happiness are released in the body.  And vice versa, when you make an angry face the neurochemistry of anger occurs so you feel that emotion.
